“I belong!”

We hope that every child who attends our Sunday School program can declare these words with confidence. They are an important part of God’s family and a vital participant in our church. Sunday School is a time where your child can:

  • Grow in Christ
  • Experience God’s presence and love
  • Hear the word of God
  • Feel inspired to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our world

We offer Sunday School for children who are pre-school age to grade 7.

Children are divided into the following groups: Play (preschool-grade 1), Imagine (K-Grade 2) and Marvel (Grades 3-4). For these ages, classes begin partway through our worship service, after the singing and before the sermon. Dive (grades 5-7) does not meet every week, but when they do meet, they start at 10 am and go until the end of the service.

The curriculum we use is called DWELL. It’s all about giving kids less noise and more time to experience God. Most importantly, scripture is the foundation of every DWELL session. DWELL is not based simply on human morals or virtues, but on God’s actions in God’s Big Story. Each lesson includes a Bible story, prayer, crafts/activities and time for discussion.

We are so delighted to be a part of your child’s faith journey and we look forward to seeing the TCRC children gather and grow again in Sunday School.

Nursery

For younger kids (under 3), childcare is provided for the duration of the worship service. Responsible adults are always present, and all volunteers have had a criminal record check.

You’ll find the nursery on the south side of our building, close to the kitchen. The Sunday School classrooms for older kids are on the north side, closest to Centennial Christian School.
